From the music in the parking lot, to the welcoming staff in the kids and students areas, to the drinks and snacks in the cafe, we want you to feel welcome.

Then as the exciting, dynamic worship environment kicks off you will experience a church service that will most likely be different than anything you have ever seen before. We utilize personal stories, multimedia, popular and sacred music, drama and many other art forms to communicate the timeless truths of Gods love each and every week.

A few years ago, in September of 2003, Tommy & Rachel Sparger felt a need to start a church on the north side of Springfield, Missouri with a unique vision.

They wanted a church where people could be themselves. Where nobody was forced to look like, act like, talk like, vote like or smell like each other. Where people could experience a life changing encounter with God through authentic community with real people.

People whom God is desperately running after.

People who are imperfect, realize it, and don't pretend to be otherwise. People who are on a journey of faith, and know from experience that journey doesn't always look as beautiful and nice as we'd hoped. People in all stages of life.

Real people. On real journeys.

They wanted a church that would never be content looking inward at itself, but would always exist to serve those who were not yet a part of it. A church full of people who gave sacrificially to each other, instead of clawing at each other to see what they could get for themselves. A church that was known for what it was for instead of what it was against.

A church that made an impact in its community. That you would notice was missing if it wasn't there.

Only a few years later, and we're starting to realize that maybe this vision doesn't just belong to Tommy & Rachel. With over 4,000 people coming through NPC's doors every weekend, maybe this is what church was supposed to be about in the first place. Maybe this vision of theirs is shared by many more people than they originally thought.
